
Do any of you in the diet & fitness section actually WANT to lose weight?
This section is littered with questions like "how many calories do I need to cut" and "need to lose weight" or "please make suggestions for how I can lose 260 tons before next friday".
So why is it, that instead of accepting help from the personal trainers, instructors, nutritionists etc. on the forum, they click "best answer" on the first fad diet link or prefabricated post that lists every single urban myth way to lose weight they've ever heard and condensed into a post?
Are they simply not ready to hear the facts from the experts? Is it human nature to want a quick fix? Is anyone else tired of reading the diet & fitness section?
Does anyone out there ACTUALLY want to lose weight?
Blame society or blame television or blame it on alien intervention. Children are not being educated at school at an early age on fitness and nutrition and instead are learning from "quick fix" fads endorsed by celebrities. You are correct, people do not want to hear from experts, the reason, it takes too long. They want it gone NOW!
