Whats better, muscle/weight gainer drinks or Whey protien drinks to lose my bear belly and build my muscles?
Hi, im nearly 30, dont lead the healthiest lifestyle and thought it is about time I sorted myself out. I'm not fat and im quite healty overall but I do have a bit of a beer belly that I want to lose and I also want to build my arms, shoulders and chest up a bit. I've started riding my bike about 5 miles a day, doing sit ups and some dumbells along with eating healthy, low carbs, lots of veg etc...i've also bought a muscle and weight gain drink to help build my muscles along with the sit ups and weights im doing. Is this better than whey protien or is it going to make me fat too?
Thanks
Dan
Thank you Mr Pink but if I eat less I will be a skinny bastard not a fat bastard, so how is that going to help my buile my upper body? It is also common knowledge that protien help repair and build muscle which is why i want to know if Whey protien or muscle builder shakes are better.
Ah I think you're operating under false assumptions. Protein doesn't help you lose weight at all. Protein is used to:
* Repair body cells
* Build and repair muscles and bones
* Provide a source of energy
* Control many of the important processes in the body related to metabolism
After your work out you want to take a whey protein isolate, [they have the highest protein absorption rate, like 99% / protein, whereas soy has like 60% - 75% / protein]
To actually lose the fat and in a hurry, i'd recommend you do a high intensity interval training for about 24 minutes a day [that's all] drink your shake afterwards and you're good to go. For more reference see: http://www.igainmusclelosefat.com
